What have you done to your rig today?

Added a little beef up front, seems I can't drive down a paved road without smacking it on something šŸ˜…

Oil change day. Ordered 3 fuel filters but they won’t be here til next week. Nobody in Mount Airy seemed to have any anyway 🄓

12 qts $57 for synthetic, not bad.

Installed the drive slugs this evening. Probably the easiest thing I’ve done with this one ton swap.

When you decide you need 40 spline shafts I have an extra set of 40 spline slugs from Branik who makes those for ECGS.

First test on public roads, worn out flat spotted 31’s from an old Xj until I cycle the suspension a few times and get it aligned.

Also I had a pile of gravel for my French drain, poser picks were the obvious answer

Turned the narrow track into a wide track. While at it figured I would clean up and paint the drums. Then decided to add some paint to the wheels.

A couple of months ago, I was coming up the easement and there was an 8 lug wheel and tire off the edge of the drive.

I ignored it a few days thinking it must have fell off of a neighbor’s trailer or something.

Then I figured out it was off my Dodge šŸ˜… my cable for the spare had broken right at the end.

So finally today I used a cable clamp to repair it all and put the spare back under the truck out of the way.

It is so unusually hot here that I was soaked in the 45 minutes it took 🄵

Haha! You are not alone. Another member on here one day noticed the spare under his Dodge Ram was missing and the cable was broken. Surely in a ditch somewhere, and most likely between his house and work, LOL.

Chasing down a tail light failure, found 2 of the 7 pins on the turn signal connector loose, something about trying to fake having the right crimping tool with needle nosesšŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø fixed that still didn’t work, got a new relay thinking it might be a relay not being rated for led.

After a day of frustration, the culprit, besides the 2 loose connections was a fuse. All systems go now!

Mine broke off going over the train tracks

Mine apparently broke going over the bump at the creek bridge closest to the road 😁

Didn’t feel a thing šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™‚ļø

I remember seeing it and thinking ā€œwhat dumbass didn’t realize he lost that….ā€

5 degree caster, 1/8 toe in, within 1/32 centered, side to side wheelbase within a 1/32 as close as a tape-measure can do. Put the real tires on it aired to 30 and sent her.

First off, my trans controlled by terminator x max with art carr shifter is currently not set up for drive, so you have to click between gears. I also don’t have a speedo. So, 2300rpm in 4th is roughly 70, first speed test and I don’t think I’ll be doing much highway driving without a topšŸ˜‚

The hydro boost sponginess is gone, must’ve just needed cycled to bleed out air
