What have you done to your rig today?

@Tim C
I see you have and use the best pen oil I've ever used... AeroKroil. Column looks good. That had to been time consuming to fab all that with that attention to detail. Duramax turbos definitely bring the suck to r&r.
Yea aerokroil is awesome, that and crc powerlube are all I use home or work. I've got around 6 to 7 hours in it now. Most of the notching was roughed in with a cutoff wheel then hand filed. Now that the length is right I have to get the internal shafts put together and then make a brace off the motor to the dash or firewall to hold the torque from the motor then hook up three wires to the control module and splice a GM turn signal pigtail to the cars harness.

Nah man. That's good style. Been rolling that that for ever. I wish I had pics of my 79 long bed build where I used a Chestnut Oak, snatch block, old winch cable and my 84 to lift the cab and swap frames. :D

And dealt with swamp ass down in La. Did you ever run into Jody at the Legion?

That’s no joke this time of year. About an hour outside and I look like I took a shower! And no I haven’t even been back since the last time.
What kind of paint did you use on the frame?

I wire wheeled the whole thing and used rustoleum red oxide primer and low gloss black tractor paint (also rustoleum). I’d love to have used something like POR15 but this thing is a budget build and the money is going elsewhere.

Changed the oil and replaced the spark plugs in my Ranger.
Pretty sure the oil is/was 1.5 years old. Came out nice and clean.
Plugs were replaced post-break in and showed just a hair lean. I did have some detonation last trip out. But I contributed that to 7 month old stale gas. Either way an extra 0.010" gap won't hurt.

Sunday I got the parking brake tuned up. Never had a parking brake that would stop a vehicle rolling at 5mph like this. At best it would slow to a stop .This thing will lock up the tires instantly!

Hoping to have a tag in a couple weeks!

OBX prep in progress. All this was done today at J&J’s Broken Skull Garage with help from my CTB brothers @josh$$ and @Jason W.
Thank you guys so much!
Full rear brake job including parking brake and diff fluid change. Full cooling system flush along with Tstat, water pump, new hoses, and fan clutch also changed the belt and pulleys. Oil change and filters along with a good throttle body cleaning. Next week I’ll have it up on a lift and do a bolt check and grease everything up.

Rear axle got new brakes, bearings, seals, and truss welded and set in with Chevy 63” leafs. Front springs are hung (RUF bastard pack). Front axle started tear down for full seals/bearings/brakes rebuild. I haven’t cleaned/ painted the springs yet cause they may have to get changed to accomplish proper ride height. Front Axle will finish getting painted as it goes back together.

Finally decided the exhaust manifold leak had to go.

Looks like the old manifold had been patched several times. Not by me!

Not a fun job at all. Got it back together last night at 9, cranked it up and had a 2500 rpm idle. I was not happy. Loosened the intake manifold and got it seated properly this morning. The heep is now quiet! (Other than all the squeaks and rattles).....

Pulled the trans and tcase from the runner and replacing the input shaft bearing, installing a new clutch, and installing my 4.7s in the case. You toy guys with a W56 i got a trick for removing the input shaft bearing without tearing down the case.

More OBX prep on the TJ this evening. Decided to rid the Jeep of the years worth of trail dust for the wife. Removed the rear security box and put the rear seat and belts back in so some family can ride if they want. Did a full once over underneath for bolt check and greased everything.

Changed the oil.

During the three minutes I walked away to get a funnel and empty jug.. This lizard was murdered in an eerily similar way to that bond girl who was drowned in oil.

Big fella too. Clogged my funnel.
Skinks and skanks, always clogging the funnel.
