....Black Sheep....

Not a problem at all, a little cleaner and easier to work around if internal, try to avoid vertical welds, diagonals will give more strength, less stress.
The frame looks awesome! Just checking in on progress. Wish I could have been at URE, Nasty stomach bug, I don't think I would have made it off the mountain with clean britches!
Thanks for the info! And I hate you couldn’t make the Christmas party. I hope to catch up with you soon! Hope you and your family have a great Christmas! And if you have any input on the build, please chime in, your input is welcome!

Drivetrian?

Looking GOOOOOD!!!

That engine made 700 horse at the crank, naturally aspirated, came with a big price tag! 40 grand installed! My rig didn't cost as much as the wheels that went on that machine!

Everyone is going to hate me, Rubitrux aka High Country 4x4. It took me two months to build "Vandal" by myself!
As long as you give @Wildwilly87 hell every day at work you’re all good in my book. When I hit the powerball I’ll have you build something with the new 7.3 Hemi and 43 stickies just to drive around town.

And o bull shit I will be glad to take that deposit off your hands for that 7.3 build, I take cash, check, food stamps (which are 2 to $1 ratio) and no IOU’s, and you could be driving in style

No back to the build @Nakoma, looking good man can’t wait to see it, let me know if need anything or help

My posts are derailing an awesome build that I want to help with, Nakoma is building a one-off that the best of us would be proud of!
No worries! I like seeing the stuff you build! I’d like to stop by sometime when I’m up in Boone. It’s also good to get you aquatinted with the CTB guys on here, that way you’ll come hang out with us on the trail!! Keep up the good work!

Got the axles torn down and all of the brackets off of them. I’m not sure what’s next. Maybe start acquiring suspension brackets and stuff. I don’t know. But I do know that I’m glad to put the grinder down and grab a drink!...yes the mail has already ran here in the suburbs of Dobson!!

Are you going to run leaf or link?
It's really coming together nicely, I just got my pile in the garage and started tearing off extra parts, got the week off hoping to get the bed and fuel cell put together.

I finally got to work on the rig this weekend. I got the final welding done on the frame and it’s prepped for the plating. I am doing a 4 link rear and a three link in the front. That’s why the frame is notched in the front. And thanks @Chris_Keziah for helping me with the link calculator. The reason I am doing links is that I want to learn more about building a suspension and the only way I will learn is to do it. I will post up some pics when I get the link set up done. And keep in mind, I’m a mechanic, not a fabricator or welder so this is a challenge for me.

Looks Great There!

Looking good man! Excited to keep seeing the progress updates.

Side note...that hood fit up nicely, thanks again! Got a little pulling of the radiator support (about an inch or so), and I'm hoping it shuts down nicely.

WOW!!!
That's some Awesome Progress!!!
