Nope, keep on with the white chalk marks. After you finish add some crazy Trig and geometry ciphers and spray it clear. Get stuck talking to someone for too long and need an escape? Just get a crazy look in you eyes and say got a go there getting close. Then jump in the diesel and peelout.

standalone

Some crazy stuff like this.

I implied the Manche is going to be a trailer queen. Sorry, scratch diesel burnouts for fourwheel burnouts in the Manche.

Fuel cell tray is done

Digging the Goatbuilt cell, can, and fast fill plate for factory gm internal fuel pump.

Gonna run baffles in the tank? I know the gm pump has a sump but Im leary of all alum cells now, after the RCI issues.

Fuel Tank Kits – Goat Built

It's an .080 aluminum can around an 18 gallon poly tank. You can order just the poly, with our without straps and tray, can or no can, and 4-5 different fill plates. There is a huge o-ring that seals the fill plate with blind nutserts molded in the poly tank. Also uses blind nutserts on the pump ring and filter plate.

Best feature is the use of a factory gm fuel pump with its excellent scavenging system with a venturi pump for the "accumulator" canister...and can be found at any parts store for equal or less than any external pump unit. Walbro even makes a higher output version for more ponies, which is about the same price as stock.

You can see the o-ring groove here

He even sells a poly replacement for RCI 2161 faulty tanks, with the fuel pump option as well.

Matt

Edit- if I race, I will have to run baffles per rules.

Awesome. I have looked at the goosebumps
Goatbuilt tasks but forgot about the poly bladder. That will make a big difference.

Keep up the good work.

Did some creative weighing last weekend, placing any uninstalled pieces in their respective areas. It will be under 4400 in race trim, (dry weight, no spares, tools, or passengers). If it gets too close, I can prep some race doors (hulled), lose the tailgate (would leave off anyway), and any other unneeded road legal accessories. 53/47 front bias, roughly 500 lbs less unsprung weight over my buggy with 60/14 and 43 stickies. I'd venture a guess of sub 5000lb for trail/race ready with occupants.
