90's throw back.....Manche build

Cannon gonna ride in that seat on the roof?!:D

Incredible vision, incredible skill. When I grow up (I'm almost 48 so keep that in mind) I want to be you. Great build. I love a good Comanche!

Lol, thanks....I'm 41 myself, so I'm not quite as grown up as you...[emoji481]

Glad you're enjoying the build.

Bumps are finish plated and in... sway bar is modified done and in, except for plating the sides of the brackets.

Big thank you @Paul for the donation to the cause!

Sway bar modded to run on the trailing arm. Not enough room to run the full length dom over the tube, so gonna try just running bushing brackets.

Just a ? Is the torque not multiplied on the sway bar the further away from the axle? If so you might need a bigger shaft to compensate

Awesome! A piece of my old black heep lives on in this rig.
Keep up the killer fab my friend.
x2 on the crosses. You be representing and shit like dat ya know.
;)

Oh shut up you web wheeler. Go back to Facespace and GQ.

Just a ? Is the torque not multiplied on the sway bar the further away from the axle? My dick is as small as a babies finger so i might need a bigger shaft to compensate

Da truth.

:poop:Don't get mad because your shaft may be inadequate I will still let you put on an apron and cook for me:beer:

I have no problem wearing the apron you big hairy ape.
As long as you keep submitting to my bizarre sexual desires. And i got your "Strawberry Shortcake" costume back from the cleaners.

Yes you are correct. But at the same time I have shortened the arms by 7 inches (changing their motion ratio to nearly the same as the trailing arms/ shocks), thereby increasing the amount of work the levers must do in a shorter range of motion; virtually increasing the rate of the bar. Time will tell, I may have to change bar diameter...we shall see.

...Not to mention packaging. Now the ends of the arm only moves +/- 11", versus needing 22" of space to work-(which I did not have room for behind the axle).

Very common on KOH champ Randy Slawson's bomber cars...

Even our local boy @REDLYNER has this setup on his bomber 4400 ride...

Good shot of the sway bar from below

Almost finished rebuilding the rear upper link mounts to accept 1.25 heims. Upon closer inspection, apparently po was running 7/8-3/4 heims- reason for the narrow width.

Still lack capping and plating the drivers side, finish grinding old brackets from the tubes, and the back half will be very close to being done. Be mounting front bumps next.

You know, it's going to be a shame to have a less-than-perfect body on this masterpiece. You really have incredible talent. I mean the kind of stuff you see going to SEMA, but much more articulate engineering and execution.

It'd be so killer if Dan Short with DRS Automotive Fantomworks caught wind of this thread and wanted to team up for an over-the-top SEMA project. Crew it...I've emailed him before and had conversation with him....I'll give it another shot!

It really depends on how you define perfect, which is intrinsically an opinion.

I can't think of anything I'd rather see this thing skinned as, not even a brand new MJ.
