My son has the same shirt and looks the same when I'm out in the garage. He loves to help and he is only going to be 4 in July. I can't wait until he gets older because I can't wait to start actually teaching him stuff. At this point I don't see him being a gamer. I see him as more of a gear head. OK by me.

Wow! Corbin is a such a little dude! With a bit of a grin. A "hey, I'm a Jeep guy" kinda look. A "Yea, I got skills" kinda look!

Ken, I'm so happy for you. Look at that jaw on that boy! You're going to have a lot of fun over the next, well, at least 10 years and then get to watch that little dude grow up to be a man.

well spent the last 3 nights building a rear bumper, modifying a tire carrier, adding a winch, a battery box and the last thinkg I need to do is mess with the axle disconnect tomorrow night.. going to test the jeep this sat at URE

Speaking of spools. I just got your Ford 9" rear on the road again. Well, took it for a quick spin around the neighborhood today anyway. Still a lot of tweaking to get the XJ registered and legal. I'm not sure about the mini spool though. Does it just take a little getting used to? XJ is going to primarily be a trail rig, but will have to get to and from the trails and I'll drive it to work and around town once in awhile for the fun of it.

for a trail rig and slight around town really should not be a problem minus the tire wear and tire chirping in corners..but this one the wife wants to drive so she would not like it.. I used to drive my XJ with spool around town.. just had to get used it..but damn thing worked awesome on the trails with it

That's what I figured... Can't wait to get this thing on the trails to see for myself. A lot of little things to do first though.

Yeah spools take some driving time to get used to them. Be careful going around turns in the rain. Abrupt throttle changes makes things interesting. I switched from a spool to an ARB, its the way to go. It only gets locked when I need it. Trail riding is much better since it doesnt take a football field to turn around.
 
well I have been watching all these youtube videos on Plasti Dip and really wanted to try it and see how it does..

so I got some paint and went to town..
You will notice I did not tape of windshield or rear bumper as I wanted to use those as my test removable area..
I do like the product but my gun was not spraying it correctly(going on to light)so I am not 100% satisfied. So I am gonna mess with it some more tomorrow.

A friend of mine did his whole car in plastidip, it turned out really nice. I know he had to thin it out a good bit for his gun to spray it good.
You are not going to have fun getting all of the light over spray off though. It doesn't peel off unless there is a rather thick coat.
 
well I borrowed my buddies other spray gun and used the last 1 gallon I had to finish it off..

here it is done.. ( I do need to clean off rock rails and rear bumper etc but I will do that later this week

All I did was wash the jeep.

It won't peel without really trying to make to peel.

I did rinse the jeep today and had no issues.
 
There's a Nissan 350Z around Raleigh that's done in the same color. Kinda neat.

eventually it will get back on track with the cool build stuff.. as I am collecting stuff to 4 link it and put new axles under it :)
 
I am guessing you saw my for sale post :)

But the yj will be getting 9" front and rear axles with sway a way air shocks and 4 linked front and rear with inner air beadlocks on aluminum rims, new front fenders , stretch the rear with crusher corners and more.
