Job Hook Ups

Open to anything really as I haven't found what I really enjoy doing yet. At my last job I project managed and designed industrial piping skids. I enjoyed the design, modeling and fabrication aspect of it. I liked to be hands on in the shop with the guys fabricating but my boss didn't want me in the shop.

Prior to that when I worked at Honda Power Equipment in the machining department I enjoyed that. The machining aspect interest me. Cough, cough @Andy J.
I can't sit at a computer all day and do the same thing over and over I know that for sure.

@Ron
Not a PE. Took the FE in school and passed but never took the PE as I didn't need it for what I was doing. I'm open to a remote position. If it is office, I want to stay near Concord or Huntersville Or North side of Charlotte.
There's a couple of Nascar shops in Huntersville Business Park [Joe Gibbs], & some other Industrial businesses there. I don't know anyone or they other Business names. Nascar R&D headquarters is right by the Concord Airport, me think. Old Phillips Morris plant? Supposed to have a Military Buggy building facility.

This is Hendricks motorsports. They build the Infantry Support Vehicle (ISV). My son just went to work there welding. They have great benefits and good pay. Super high standards, been three weeks and he enjoys it but is stressful for him due to welding bumpers and the accept no errors. They are hiring welders I know for sure, not sure about other positions. They are moving to a larger facility in Jan-Feb so they are looking to take on 40 more people I think.

Hope he settles in well!

I’m getting in to the concrete equipment manufacturing game…so if you want my current job (less the CFO pieces, hired a kick ass VP of Finance and Accounting) let me know…

Any Project Managers here looking for a new job?
This is for Harris and Robinson Nuclear plants, but you’d ultimately probably be traveling some to all 6 of the Duke nuclear plants in the Carolinas. Or at least to 3 of them.

If any of you end up in Hartsville check out Big's for lunch some day.

Link one of our technicians posted. We got more pm and break down work then we know what to do with without hiring.

If anybody here is in Tech, we are looking for a Technical Project Manager. Looking for somebody with experience with organizing Jira / Scrum / getting some of the team running smoother in Agile. It will also be helping to manage the delivery of our projects. I don't have enough time to do all the Jira work and my boss wants me to focus on some other stuff. Job is fully remote. If you have those skills and are interested in learning more, send me a message.

One of my distributors, Butler Bros, is looking for an Account Manager in western NC. If you or anyone you know has some knowledge of manufacturing and/or machining and the gift of gab, let me know and I’ll put you in touch with the hiring manager.

Looking to hire lead low voltage techs and helpers in the Asheville area. Very competitive pay and excellent benefits. Please PM me if you are interested or have someone who you know that would be a good fit. Majority of the work will be doing HVAC controls, lighting controls, data/com, access control, fiber optics.

Always got my eyes open for a warehouse worker in mars hill nc.

1099 arrangement
Some guys show up 7-3. Some 9-4. Some 10-6.
Tasks range from pressure washing equipment clean, palletizing products, product fulfillment (filling jugs buckets etc) with certified organic fertilizers, manufacturing of said products, forklift operations, etc. Depending the individual, usually starting pay $20/hr.

Typical people we bring on are in between careers, recently burned out from xyz, not the sole bread winner but need to work. Kids are allowed if they can self manage in the offices etc. No healthcare or other benefits. It’s a glorified “lawn care” job that is perfect for some, not ideal for others.

We also are always on the lookout for a sharp minded individual for office work - helping to create shipping manifests, answer phones, etc.

Anyone know anyone looking to fill a position in and around St. Petersburg Florida? I have a good friend there that has had a bad hand dealt to him. He has run his own successful GC company for decades, hard worker, super smart....but he is now a single dad that has been thrown some road blocks by a couple back to back hurricanes and he needs a regular 9-5 with some flexibility.
He would be a fantastic facilities manager or engineering technician.

Well, boys and girls…my board of directors decided they didn’t have near the stomach for aggressive growth as they thought they did. So I’m wrapping up an acquisition over the next 3 weeks, have 5 more weeks after that, and they’re not renewing my contract. So if any of you have an executive role open, or know your ownership would like to see 30% growth minimum year over year, let’s get in touch. I probably won’t need something for a year, so I’m being pretty selective in my next stop.

The company I work for, Sandvik Coromant, has an opening for a “Global Engineered Solutions Quotation Specialist” based out of Mebane, NC or Westminister, SC.

Long story short, the role is basically quoting all kinds of custom tools for cnc machines. This person receives the specifications from the field sales guy or application specialist, does some preliminary engineering evaluation regarding feasibility and manufacturing processes, coordinates with the right internal people, and probably a dozen other things I’m not even aware of that results in a quotation and lead time to support our larger customers.

I’m glad to answer any questions to the best of my ability. The job posting is a huge wall of text that might offer more insight on the skills/tasks required. Head over to the Sandvik website and search by title or location to find it and/or apply.

DGI Supply is looking for a sales rep/account manager in the Charlotte area. I was informed that they are looking for someone on the younger side who can grow with the company long-term and be groomed up to the Regional Sales Manager role, which is responsible for the southeastern US.

Author’s note: Keep in mind this is manufacturing, so ‘younger side’ is probably sub-50 years old lol. Let me know if you have an interest and I’ll get your resume to the right person.
