Lil' Smoke kid mini buggy rock crawler

Maybe one day you'll all be able to look at other buggies and say "Man... that looks like a MarsFab buggy".

So does that mean a scaled up version of this design is going to be the "MarsFab standard chassis"? same belly and approx chassis height, taller tires and longer wb, and it sounds perfect to me.

Very badass. That picture makes me want to climb in it and trash.

How does the engine do power wise with an adult in it?

LS and 42 stickies SXs ....
Lifetime contract to keep @MarsFab Wrap on buggy.

Send me a price....

I would offer to let chris wrap my buggy but it would need a new wrap every month lol im not against a v8 buggy in the future either

Power is no issue at all. The t-case has 6.5:1 low and the engine also has a hi-lo range. With the case and trans in low it doesn't even move lol. You'd literally over rev the engine and grenade it if you drove it like that. We've had the best luck leaving the t-case in high range and using only the trans selector to go between R-N-L-H. it's simpler for the girls and works pretty well.
In hi-hi when you floor it, it gets up and goes quite well but it's no tire burner or drift car. I estimate the top speed to be somewhere around 35-40 mph. It's probably 3 times the weight of the ATV the engine is intended to propel. Also there is no rear wheel drive, the transfer case is mounted backwards in order to line up with all the inputs and outputs so 2wd in the case is actually front wheel drive. Makes front digs easy but not really practical.

I'm very happy with the look and style of this chassis, it's a design I've wanted to build for a while now. Fortunately rob was cool with giving me the freedom to do most of the designing. My plan has always been to build it as a full scale chassis but this happened first and it was a great way to try it out. I think it's been well received and hopefully someone will come along now wanting a full sized version.

Y'all sure are fancy now lol

How much?

There are a lot of variables. On the super cheap I still think it could be done without a lot of the creature comforts this one has for 15k. Make it fit a single full sized guy or possibly two, use toyota axles, a big bore V-twin atv engine, maybe 33" tires and throw some decent parts at it and you're more like 25k-30k probably. You'd essentially have a RZR except it'd be much more robust, almost as fast and peppy, could rock crawl better than a rzr but could also be thrown around like one. You wouldn't be grenading differentials every time you beat on it, you wouldn't be bending control arms and busting ball joints it'd be the best of both worlds for the same money as a rzr AND most importantly it looks awesome and every tool on the trail wouldn't have one.

I don't plan on selling until my twin girls grow out of it or @shawn offers more than peanuts or when @mcutler decides he needs this more than a LS powered MJ. :D
I have MJ #2 in my lot that could have your name on it...just saying[emoji41]

Glad I'm not a dad because I'd have a snowballs chance in hell of topping that for dad of the year. Awesome job to all parties involved in the creation of this thing.

Sorry girls y'all got that buggy when you were young.........a pinto will have to do for High School.

Your seriously screwed from here on.:driver::D

I have a couple cool videos but I'm not smart enough and am too lazy to convert from an iPhone format to post. If you follow me on IG or FB, you can see the videos of the girls driving it. :)

We've been working out all the little bugs over the last two days and have pretty much everything handled now except the steering. The brake master cylinder may is a little small for the 4 calipers were using. It is very easy to push but takes full throw to lock up the tires. Probably going to switch to a 7/8" master but with the adjustable prop valve we're able to bias more to the front and it helped a ton.
The steering works well. Better than I expected. It has decent power to turn the tires, the problem is that it takes a little too much effort to turn for young girls to drive it comfortably and the single ended ram makes it even stiffer to retract the cylinder than extend.

So I am guessing the issues were figured out, or not issues after all?

Most all issues figured out. Steering is the only last notable issue. It works ok but my girls still aren't quite strong enough to steer it easily.

Wheaties? pull-ups, cross fit? Lol
