Just be glad it's white (the truck I mean 😎)

On a much more serious note... A girls objective is to test her father's tolerance and find the limit. Then try and step over that.... And depending on how you react, usually sets the bar for her future decisions. So choose wisely.
Shes a good kid. My first daughter made it to adulthood pretty normal. Theres hope for this one. Apparently she busted out laughing in front of the kid at my making fun of his truck.

Bought a 1970 dated Uberti 1858 Remington in .44 yesterday at Ledford's Trading Post in Hickory for a couple o' hundred.

I know nothing about cap and ball revolvers, so I'll probably buy a conversion kit and swap out the cylinder for metallic cartridges.

But talk about a pistol. Be a totally different feel to pistol whipping someone with this octagonal 8 inch barrel than the rectangle 4.5 incher on my Glock 19.

Didn't know they was still in business.

These where a face full of fire and fun.

Plate was all 1 inch thick. I barely drug them out of the way by myself.

A few days late, but back late Thursday evening / Friday morning, I believe we all had some big winds. I show no more than 30mph gust here, like Hickory, where the Arches fell. In this picture, where I'm standing, I had a very-open-flow throw milk crate, sitting on the edge of my concrete section. It's the little red spot circled in the picture, out in my yard. Must be close to 100 feet, to where it ended up at!

@Tom@Hilltop_Machine I believe you asked for some pics a while back of our old equipment at work. The tag on the old drill press really tells its age.

I've always loved ww2 era machines. They are nicer than anything you can get today and still have tags saying "sorry this machine is so shitty and below our standards but we are doing our part and rationing/pumping machines out"

So now you're either gonna walk around muttering "I'm yore huckleberry" or asking everybody if they gonna draw them pistols or whistle dixie!
I'm jealous btw .... I would love to have 2 of those in a double rig.
Leave them black powder and cast you're own boolits in a variety of metals for killin' demons and other creatures of the night.

Hacked my bucket off to make it quick attach so I could use a proper fork setup. View attachment 367044

I wouldn't recommend hanging fork lift forks off a piece of channel welded atop a bucket...

Got the bucket and brackets fully welded on.

Now on to a forklift carriage assembly.

I was planning to build my own out of a prefab quick attach plate like I welded to the bucket, but I can't find the carriage rails anywhere. Titan attachments used to sell them, but they're out of stock. Im a cheap ass and don't want to spend $400 for an already built assembly. Anyone know where to get the rails at?
