Round 2: Keepin' up with the Joneses, Mud Devils and Tony Woody

Let the lumber run itself, buy an enclosed trailer big enough for the ranger, a press for doing gears and some dogs, then tour the country regearing axles, driving the buggy and doing all that other hippy shit you do without feeling guilty.
I can't be more than 52 exits from you though

Truck is patiently awaiting the next beatdown. May sneak out to Gulches one weekend soon. New trans should be here in a couple weeks. In anticipation, I ordered a new SFI flexplate and a TCI dipstick tube with locking cap. It currently has a Lokar tube with about a 3/8" opening Takes FOREVER to refill.
Also made an appt with TB Offroad in SC to beef up the rear uppers and frame mounts first of next month. They're the only thing MarsFab didn't replace when he had it a few years ago. They're 1.5" x .25" DOM with 7/8 x 7/8 heims. I go through heims about once a year. Would like more confidence in them to be honest. They'll fab up a full width truss while it's there as well.
I'll swap in the trans and new cam after they're done. Got a GER trip planned in July and want all the upgrades done by then.

Cliffs: I pay others to do fab work that meets my expectations and I ain't embarrased to say so. :D

Let me know when you want to head to gulches!

I’m ready for another Gulches trip. Might be able to get my rental stickies and he do some filming.

Busy day getting my truck ready for my birthday ride at The Ranch next week.
Couldn't get the rear brakes to bleed after replacing calipers. As luck would have it, found a hard line on the firewall that had been smacked with a (supposed) rock. Ran a new line from master to cutting brake and we're all good.
My recent muffler install turned out way too loud. So I poured myself some Metamucil and replaced it with a Dynomax Super Turbo and new piping. You can actually stand to be in the cab now.
Cleaned up some wiring I had apart when chasing a recent fuel issue.
Wrapped up the day with new wheel and tire installation. Huge thanks to @thebrotherinlaw for mounting all 4 of my sticky SX on Raceline while I did the mechanicals. He saved my butt getting ready for the trip.
For this, you can keep my sister another 30 years :flipoff2:
Ready to wheel and scuff the bad boys in!

Remember to air down this time…

Fritts Transmission wrapped up my new C6 build. This one was @drkelly spare back in the day. Pretty excited to get it in and see how much better the trans shifts.
Still gotta tear into the engine and see what happened. My gut says a couple injectors got clogged when I got bad gas. I'll take them out tomorrow and ship them to Race City Injector for cleaning and flow testing.
We're super busy with house stuff and work stuff for a couple months anyway, so taking a break until it cools off is fine with me.
Cliffs: got a bad ass transmission for an engine that doesn't run.
