Throwing in the towel - my MarsFab buggy build

I was just curious on your opinion, I've never heard any complaints about the iroks. How's the motor change going?
I haven't seen many people running the 39.5 stickies but I definitely am a fan of them.

Got one of the spare engines torn down to a long block but haven't got the oil pan and timing cover off yet, hopefully Sunday I can get that done and see how it looks.

Having to split free time between working on the buggy and working on the new shop. Yesterday was buggy, today was the shop. Next free day is Sunday, so probably back on the buggy.

my 39.5's are the cheat code for me. my jeep walks up stuff it should not :)

Decided to teardown the spare engine and do new rings and bearings. Cylinder walls looked great and could easily see all the cross hatching so just going to cleanup and reuse the pistons. All the old bearings looked good (rods, mains and thrust). Just want to make sure it's 100% before I swap it in the buggy.

Taking the cylinder head to the machine shop tomorrow to get new valve seals and check the deck. Also gonna have them hot tank the block and crank as well.

Had the machine shop go through the cylinder head. New valve seals, light resurface and clean. Also had them hot tank the block and crank.

Got the parts back from the machine shop and did a quick ballhone on the cylinders to deglaze them. Putting new piston rings on the old pistons and tossing in new bearings.

Got the crank installed and everything torqued. Cleaning the old pistons next.
