What have you done to your rig today?

Had some brake line action going lately. I'm waiting on some more gravel guard and need to install clamps. Made new lines for the hydroboost as well. Also, decided on a brake upgrade for the chevy 60.

Clear em and let her eat
I have a couple times 🤣 Had the timing chain replaced a couple weeks ago & it's now throwing VANOS exhaust code intermittently & going into limp mode. Took it back to shop & they couldn't get it to throw a code. Switched the intake & exhaust solenoids last night & cleared the codes to see if it's a sticky solenoid.

Sounds like it needs a carburetor conversion lol 😂

Coil mounted, distributor in, plugs and wires on.
I used a summit racing wire set, I’m not real pleased with how it laid out. I’ll make a set eventually but the summit set was on sale.
I also used one of the OE rocker studs to mount the coil. Thought it was neat to reuse some of the original equipment, but I’ll probably replace it as well.

Curious about if you reused the distributor gear from the original distributor? I didn’t and ended up buying a matched set after it got chewed up in a very short time. It’s not a lot of fun doing it after install and knowing that there’s metal floating around in the engine.

I didn’t buy a matched set, but asked the edelbrock tech about it, as I’m also running a comp cam. Should be ok according to them.
Lubed ‘em up good during install.

Hope so! I did buy an ebay distributor that had a harder steel gear than the gear on the cam. It went within a thousand miles or so and acted like the timing was jumping. I’m not taking any chances with this 401 I bought a matching set for it. Looking at yours makes me wish I’d spent extra coin on the fuel injection. I’ll be running FItech, but that Edelbrock system looks sweet!

No pictures of the process but rotella T4 15w-40, wix filter for the 12 valve and Donaldsons for the Air Dog. New Lucas 80-90 in the front and rear diffs with new ATF in the NV271 Tcase. In the last week it’s had an entire fluid change across the whole truck after I did the valair clutch and amsoil for the NV4500. Now to put in some overtime to recover financially.

Took the cover off and pressure washed the spider webs, mildew, and other icky junk off.

It's finally time to put it in the garage and start working on it again.

Had some help too.

Daughter wants to ride to school in it.

So I need to order a new computer, put on the Savvy Sliders I've had for four years now, and probably upgrade the old tires.
