Managed to loosen and install a few bolts over a couple evenings . bolted up some control arms i picked up at the autofair a year or two ago and swapped out my 3.5" rear coils (again) for a 2.5" set @Atla gave me a couple years ago. Just need to bleed the brakes so I can go find the right shade of green at autozone to do the rest of my control arms :massey:

Going to the C10 Fall Revival in Denton tomorrow so the red truck got a late night wash and detail. Did what I could before my headlamp died, so I'm gonna try to get up somewhat early and finish up before we go.

Super jazzed for the show! It's a free event so if you're local I'd highly recommend going; in addition to the show there's vendors set up and this is the first year for a swap meet.

I've gone the last 2 years but going to miss this year. It is a great show.
 
Got the first seat in. Gotta get some drop steel from work and get the other in. Thought I had shoulder harnesses but can’t find them. Guess lap belts will do the job. (And a helmet!) also need to upgrade all the bolts to 3/8 grade 8. Just used what I had in the garage to mock it up.

Made the meth tracker a little less methy. And added a trailing lamp. The rear end of this thing is a wiring nightmare. Still can’t establish a brake light wire so I could add that too. View attachment 426466View attachment 426468
I recall that some of the lights are negative switched vs positive. Also the rear wiring runs through the driver rocker & b-pillar, i believe.

It does indeed run back the drivers side. Splits for the driver tail light then sprouts across for the pax side. At some point it all got cut apart and there are numerous same color wires with no telling what goes where. At the same point I don’t care but if I take this turd for a night ride it would be nice to show at least some sort of brake light. As of now it’s at least showing a taillight so I don’t take it up the ass lol.
 
In the process of swapping a 2.5 out of my XJ and replacing with a 4.3. I got the cluster wired today, now I need to pull the motor mounts out and add some gussets.
