What have you done to your rig today?

View attachment 424876Be careful it’ll catch you nappin. @Kickdeez lmao….
I love uwharrie. Just when you start to think its too easy and getting boring, it will kindly remind you why you love going there. Sometimes its a roll, or a break. But sometimes is just getting lost in your head in the middle of the woods and enjoying time by yourself or with some friends/family. Feelin a little nostalgic this morning. Been entirely too long since I've been in the woods. Thanks for posting this pic @skyhighZJ

Most expensive T shirt ever.

HIGHLY unlikely it holds up.
To be honest. I had bought Zybar, as recommended by @Croatan_Kid, but by the time I got around to doing this the zybar had evaporated, which I didn't find out until 7pm Saturday night after I had already baked and blasted the manifolds. In a pure rage I stormed to Advanced and bought the best VHT exhaust spray paint money can buy.
So no. It will probably last through the initial break in and that's it.

And then! My friendly neighborhood @amcjeepman slid into my DMs and said there may be an interreference issue with these manifolds because they're '80+ manifolds, not '79 and earlier... soooo may have been for naught.
What are the interference issues that he mentioned? I may have the same problem with my manifolds.

This is the damn truth. If it can go wrong, it will go wrong usually at 2am on Daniel when you're thinking Uwharrie is just too easy.

He couldn't remember why he couldn't get that style manifold to fit right, just that it didn't. I asked on JeepForum and the only guy to really respond said he couldn't get it to fit right because the original V8 exhaust didn't attach to it.. duh.

But the guy I bought all the 360 accessories from had that old style manifold sitting in his pile so I'm headed there this weekend to trade them out.

Growing up a friend of mine and some of my buddies had a garage band. They practiced in town and the garage faced an ally way (old Victorian and the garage was originally a horse and carriage building). Right outside there was a sign the said “slow children playing” with the seesaw and everything. That is what their band was called. “Slow children”. Lol

My youngest daughter graduated with a masters in social work from UNC in May. You have no idea how many variations I had to go thru before I found one she approved of to put on there 🤦🏾‍♂️. Why was this so hard 😂

My xj finally took me out for a beer. Had to massage this girl for nearly a year.

She has to come back in for some front side tweaking..

Motobilt tank that thing! Get ahead of the stretched build that’s coming. And if you need a seat let me know lol 😂
Hell no! It's gonna get sent with the turdy 5, most likely.

In all seriousness, i thought hard about buying a set of axles from you. But, no, just no!

And the seat is a game changer, lol.

I didn't know that was a thing. All of the stock and aftermarket tanks I've seen, mount in the top.
All 95 down xj tanks have the fuel pump on the front. I can swap a pump anywhere if the fuel level is low enough and I don’t want a bath. I’d bet they mount the same. Pressure should be the same. What year is that Jeep?

It's a YJ. I can't imagine an xj tank would fit

The beast from the east is finally back. Picked this up almost a year ago with the help from @Noel . Had it about a month and trans came all apart. So New built trans, bigger trans cooler, new headers and exhaust, added bump stops, had the 4.8 retuned, (It was once super charged and was running way too rich), replaced leaky RCI fuel cell for Motobilt , lowered it 2" so my short old ass could get in it without injury, new front ring and pinion, new bearings an seals both axles, new ball joints and cleaned up a crap load of wiring issues. Now time to get it on the trails.😀
