Gas shortage?

Figures I finally find a used kayak I want and it's in Wilmington. I "should" be able to make it round trip on a tank but with my luck I'd get low and need it in an area without it.
I'm sure the panic will be over about the time it's sold and gone.

I've been watching the stations around town today. One is out, and everybody is hitting another. Couple of hours later, that one is out, and the first one has gas. Seen several tankers today in town. So they're filling tanks....one station said they're getting about 1/4 of their capacity each time....it just rotates thru who has gas, and who doesn't. Figure hit 3 or 5 stations, you'll find some.

Saw a tanker today at the marathon in afton Ridge and decided to fill up for 2.19 check there and bring some jugs if you're worried

They were out of mid grade because they were out of regular. Most stations have a tank of premium, and a tank of regular. If you pick midgrade the pump itself mixes from both tanks.

Find someone on here that will go look at it and/or pick it up and hold it for ya for a few weeks.

There's gas down this way just bought about 42 dollars worth

Just my luck...my Accord was down to fumes & the F250 is just below a 1/4 tank. Thought about filling both up on Friday before hearing anything about this and decided against it! Finally found a station with gas (87 only) after driving around and even seeing bags on the diesel pumps.

I remember back in high school (probably going on 13-15 years ago now), Salisbury and quite a few surrounding areas were out of power for 3 weeks from the ice storm. I don't recall any riots, but on a larger east coast scale...I could see it. I do remember many days hunting and plenty of fires though.

Same here, but we only lost power for a week. Luckily my parents are the only people on their dead end road to have a generator so we could use the hot water heater for showers & the stove/oven to cook. Suddenly we became the most popular house on the street for those 7 days!

1/4 tank of gas in my truck, and most of the gas stations ran out 3 hours ago. Just getting off work so wish me luck..

I actually tried to find any reporters, on line, to give my story to. No luck with WSOC or Observer. But this is My belief, & knowledge. There is No shortage!!! There is a disruption, but No Shortage. ForEver, Everyone in my area, has been told, Media & All, that the Paw Creek Tank Farm, stores 90-120 supply of fuel. True! Most tank farms Do. Check the maps, Colonial & Plantation Pipe lines run side by side. Their not Both busted! NC, SC, & Tenn, have several Tank Farms. The Pipe lines have circuits & criss-crosses in several areas! Fuel can be re-routed! If it comes to it, the RR can haul fuel & extra tankers by intermodle, from the Ports, straight into the New Charlotte Terminal. Yes, we have a Disruption, that puts more tankers on the road, & taxes other pipe lines. The Dry stations Are caused by customers panicking. In my area, I don't see that many dry pumps. What I don't understand, is like today, I pass a local station, with a line, & Price is 2.29. Three miles up the road, Murphy/Walmart are selling Premium, at 2.18, as long as the regular is out. I haven't seen any other lines, but all the stations went up .20.
Now that they have the price back up, when the pipe is fixed, it will be time to sell winter mix, so price stays up. Just the Normal Petroleum Screwing!

You look a little too..........Civilized Rodney :D

Try cutting the sleeves off a nearly seethru white t-shirt, cut off some jeans to shorts and thicken your accent. Oh and grease pencil 2 or 3 front teeth. WRAL will come find YOU to interview then!

Also, you're making too much sense. You're shifting the blame to society and that story won't sell.....you know.....the TRUTH

All the local gas stations will have the slowest days of their year for fuel sales over the next week.
