Made the wife a bird feeder stand out of 4x4 posts last year so she can watch them from her home office window. The squirrels get on it and knock off the bird feeders and steal the seed.
I made a barrier today, 42" wide piece of plate should keep them from climbing up the 4x4.

i assume they cannot jump on top of said barrier from something nearby?

I'm trying to plan Harlan in the Fall...that's my dream trip and this rig is built for a place like that

I have one lol, just didn't feel like taking time to make it fancy. I built a really nice cage for a member here with it but on this pile of scrap metal, figure why bother lol. Plus I like the looks of this, I'm different and I like my rig to be different and look different than any thing else so I like the look of it and believe it or not, so does most everyone at walmart that has seen it...

FIFY :flipoff2:

(look who's talking, at least you are getting out)

Not anymore dang it... It'd be a trip to drive this through town one time if I could LOL

Got about half the house pressure washed today. I am beat and can’t wait to hopefully finish it tomorrow. Got all the sketchy shit that has to be done from the roof today and survived it to tell the story. Can’t believe how nasty it was once I got started. View attachment 314817View attachment 314818
I don't generally pay anyone for labor. Paying a pro to pressure wash my house was the best money spent. $240 for a 2400sf house worth attached garage. Couldn't beat that with a stick. Now, the driveway is where they got me.

My wife has been wanting a gardening bench in the garage for a little while. Once again I managed to build this with stuff I had stored up. The legs and sides are pieces of pallet wood. The surfaces are old shelves my FIL gave me. I had a few more 2x4's stored up as well. The three of us did the base green painting, and my wife and son did the flowers and stuff.

Think I’m gonna need a new alternator bracket o_O And swapped out the mirrors on the truck...got a D70 to clean up and prep and some other odds and ends on the Jeep but let’s not accomplish it all in one day...I’m gonna need things to do on other days

so upon further investigation...it appears I may have my alternator bracket upside down...may be the reason it’s hitting the block....glad no one called me out on that

Got the factory cage installed in the TJ. I am very happy. Way more space, looks better, and since this is only a road Jeep now it doesn’t look goofy.

When I got the Jeep, it came with a ton of parts, some of which were a set of aluminum corner guards. Obviously I don’t need them, but the Jeep at one time did have armor on it so the sides and corners were pretty scratched with holes and stuff so I decided I’d put them on, and switch to flush mount LED tail lights.

I cut the first hole, and got this far into the 2nd when I let the smoke out of my Porter Cable 20V drill. I should have been using my corded drill but totally forgot I had one. It’s been a good drill for 4 years so I can’t complain. A replacement was only $40.

I need to find a tail gate for this thing, fix a few more things and it will be ready for some cruising around in some nice weather!

Finally got around to a project that has been on the to-do list for at least a year. My mom's house has a split rail fence across the front and side property lines I've propped it up several times, and decided to finally tear it out today. Locust posts, and oak rails. I put this fence in around 1990.

Surprisingly, most all the posts were still good. Maybe 80% of them. Probably 60% of the rails are re-usable. Not bad for 30 years in the ground.

I'm going to put up a section at my place to keep yahoos from driving across my septic field. Never been a problem, but last week somebody tried to drive up the bank from the driveway to the field and spun out almost to the top. 4wd (all 4 tires were spinning when he topped out), large pickup or suburban-ish vehicle. Didn't come all the way to the house, so no video to ID. But, I have a good idea of who it was...that same day, an 12 year old kid that lives down the road got caught driving granddad's truck. It was OK with granddad -- kept the kid busy.

That project, though, will wait until my nephew needs some cash. I ain't digging post holes.
