Please put an outward facing camera on this thing. Peoples necks are gonna break when something this purpose built goes cruising by. Some muscle cars and hot rods these days blend in. This thing is gonna pop people's brain when they suddenly realize this Comanche is a freaking Bad Ass War Chief.

Lol, thanks Andrew

I think the hidden storage behind the fuel door is my favorite thing. Just some random off the wall detail (to the observer) that when you see it you go "well that just makes sense."

Btw, before I placed the plastic grill on in front of the stainless mesh... I tested the radiator ducting through the mesh... two paper towels from 18 inches, sucked into the mesh! (Single 3300cfm fan)

Pretty damn pleased with that. [emoji482]

Bedsides complete, tailgate in place, played with some polishing compound and ceramic coating- paint cleaned up nice yet still retained the patina. .. and cleaned the shop finally...

Love it. The work to fit that body over it is just insane.

Sure it is... from the point of view of Johnny red neck, from across the intersection at Wal-Mart, just looks like the fenders were cut out for big mudd tars!

You should really enter it in a car show, just to see what happens lol

Yeah, but on your first ice cream run, you'll get pulled by Johnny Law for a busted side view mirror. :flipoff2:

Oh man... I'd forgotten all that mess about fixing the front knuckle.

I went back to the beginning of the thread looking for mock-up pictures and found that instead.

This needs to be at sema

I sure wish I was there even just to spectate...i shoulda hit up Drew @goatbuit...

Maybe someday, on the next build, the thrill will be gone for this one by next year, lol. Something newer and better will get built by then.

Crazy amount of top notch work in this thing, great job! Has it hit the scales yet? Were you shooting for a certain weight at all? Good job keeping your shop clean, you'd probably faint if you stepped in mine:lol:

I've had scales present off and on throughout the build. Been a few months, but for dry race weight I can get it to <4400, ( i should have used 2" in the passenger area then weight would be a non issue...) But realistic trail ready weight will be (guessing at the moment), 4800. I'll weigh again soon, and report back.

I haven't been terribly concerned about weight through out, as long as I can hit race trim weight for tech. My biggest goal was to have much less unsprung weight than sprung, for better shock tuning; this I have definitely achieved. (The buggy was 2490 over 1840).

But racing KOH is just a one time bucket list for me. It's about knowing I can build and maintain the integrity of my vehicle for the duration; hopefully still on the clock, lol. I am very confident in my ability in prep and use, on keeping my rig alive.

That said, this build still goes back to the first page. Building a unit I can use more than a couple weekend a year, but with great potential for the hard stuff (and fast [emoji16]). It really has gotten out of hand on the fabrication though. Bettering my skill set just gets my juices going to do more detail stuff. Even with as much I've done so far, I still feel like I'm short selling it... there's more I want to do... but I'm ready to wheel. Guess I'll just make modifications later, like I always do, lol.

The shop was destroyed over the past few weeks. It had to be dismantled and cleaned today before I start the interior. I'm certain both ours were quite similar [emoji106].

Thanks buddy!
