Well I had BUS with my Avalanche behind it and American flags on AV back windows.. but I was not in Durham I was east of Raleigh.. so maybe you did see me but you thought you were in Durham and you were really somewhere else :)

JACKPOT, I am a dumbass!!

Well finally installed the dinette seat belts, I got super Lucky and found holes that were in dinette so it did make it a lot easier to install them.. they work great..

Well finally started on some of the small things I have been wanting to do.. I found a guy that makes bus locks for the bays and started to install them..

I am not sure how I will finish up the outside so it looks better.. may just cut the bottom off so it is flat and see if I like it or not.

also started working on making generator work better and take up less space in storage bay.
moved fuel tank to front storage area and next is to run 35 feet of 2 gauge wire to back of the bus where 12 volt batteries are.

Did we see you on Hwy 40 West towing an Avalanche about noon time on Sunday?

yup that was me.. heading home from Wilmington..

There was an old guy that had a 2 stroke Detroit in a big front loader that he used around his junk yard....you wanna talk about loud!

all the old timers that I meet keep telling me to rip the exhaust off and straight pipe it.. if I had jakes I think I would cause these old ones with a jake break I know sound awesome

well took the bus out for July 4th and the first thing we did was drive straight into hurricane Arthur.. so I would highly suggest against this in the future :) but I am stubborn so I just had to do it once.. in all reality I was watching the news and saw that is should miss us by about 25 miles..

I also added a screen to my front door.. it is one of those house ones that have magnets in the middle.. to my surprise it works very well..

quick update.. Bus has been working great and I keep trying to get my to do list smaller and smaller.. before this past weeks trip to OBX I added a small compressor to the back to use to blow up kids bike tires, water toys etc.. it worked great.. I also added a tool box to keep on board for my tool ( no pic ). I also got the radio working so as I am driving I can now have tunes, Cb installed and working and a 12 volt fan to blow cool air on my face..

and then the stab to the side on way home.. I was getting low and needed fuel and could not find many diesel stations that I could fit my bus into and when I did it was 3.99 a gallon.. but my tanks are full and will last the rest of the year and probably half of next year before I have to fill up again :)
So I got 5 months on the first tank this year..

well after our last trip I decided I needed to upgrade a few things..

I got tool box in place and I am now in the process of going threw all my duplicate tools and specialty tools for the bus and getting them into the tool box

I also went and bought a cart to use on the beach or around camp grounds.. assembled that and found a spot for it under the bus along with my step ladder and kids toys..

next is the re wire of rear tow lights.. I am adding a 24volt to 12volt conversion box so I can install a 7 way trailer plug and just tow with regular trailer lights and vehicle lights and not have to use the tow bar lights I made..

I saw that on the facebooks. Any idea what happened?

AAA covers large RV's?

if you pay for the AAA Plus RV package they do :)

I save about $1200 for this tow by having AAA ..
