TJ to JK the Medication build

Jason was crazy enough to let Joe and I take it up the road. Boy has he created a monster. It's like driving a large go-cart on the street and in lo range it's just stupid lo.

Finally got a really good shake down at Big Creek on sunday, worked exactly as it should, no mechanical problems at all. Jeep is a beast and performed above what I expected.
I figured it was eventually going to happen and crushed/ tore the right side bushwacker flat flare almost off. They just stick out to far, decided to reuse the stock flare and trim them down very slim, about 2.5 inches or so, I would rather hit tire first, not flare. Lesson Learned!

No more modifications for now, haven't got the jk out much yet this year, but the little I have I am blown away at the performance. Keeping it low was a great decision, it does complicate certain clearance issues but dang well worth it. I have noticed some change in steering effort while bound up, got use to it pretty quick. I may go hydro assist in the future but for now I can't justify the cost.

So far haven't had to make any changes to the setup, just a little more trimming here and there.

I've debated over the issue, the only way, and I mean only way, to fix the steering........full hydro, one tons and 42s. Plus a stretch and a few other things. Like maybe a tow rig lol

Looking good Jason, hopefully I get to see it in action sometime soon.

Looks good maybe we will get to wheel together when I'm back in NC. Might need some help adjusting to muddy rocks, lol.

Medikshn is still performing great, but time for upgrade. Beadlocks soon to come!! Put another dent in the door at windrock, right above the last driver door dent, things aren't going well for that door.

Just about hydrolockrd it, in the Pic above I ended up in that passenger lean for a while trying to get through. Started smoking like hell, shut it off, winched out, turned the key and wouldn't roll over. That was a bad feeling there, let it sit for 5 mins, it fired up like nothing ever happens. No Skeeter's for 200 yds!!

Got the wheels and tires off and Jk on jack stands, and surprise, ball joints are trashed. I knew that running the spacers with 4.5 backspacing wheels would be wide and wheelin hard would kill them. Installing these 3.5 backspace wheels should help that. Done screwin around, time for a set of dynatrac prosteer balljoints!

Looking a little closer, the current ball joints are alloy USA joints, I remember them being synergy. I am going to order a set of synergy joint for now, I have seen many have great service with them and they are half the price of dynatrac

The wheels slimmed it down a little which is what I wanted, doesn't look like its on one tons now.
Installing the tires on the wheels by my self is a hell of a job, heavy as shit, but they are done and I am very pleased. Wheel fit and finish is top notch, thanks trail gear!
