Wellllllllll I was ready to start tacking things together when it dawned on me that I’ve had the transmission jacked up higher than where it will sit on the cross member this entire time. Once I dropped the trans down on the crossmember the exhaust hung low enough that it was holding the drivetrain up. Dammit.

Back to square one with the exhaust.

Also now that the trans is down on the cross member the bolt holes aren’t quite lining up, which is annoying. Was thinking it would be a tad more plug and play.

Sounds like you need to raise the tranny!

Yea. I'm single parenting this week and I was so pushed for time and flustered about the exhaust that I didn't even think about the fact that I need to loosen the engine mounts so I can scoot the trans over for the holes to line up :dumbass:
 
My old goats lift pump decided it was time for a nap so the ole girl got a fass fuel system and a fleece sending unit to replace the old one in the tank. Bigger fuel lines and pick up tubes. The fleece unit made it easier to plumb with some AN fittings. Little bit of extra love was given and replaced the tank straps before it fell in the road.

I got one of my kids riding shotgun in the van all week lol should be fun haha not able to do much so atleast it’s very light work
 
Swapped wheels on both buckets; put the Eagle Alloys and 285 Kelly's on the K3500 and the PY0 and 265 Dirt Commanders on the K2500. Not a big fan of the factory wheels on the red truck after having the 16x8 and 33s on it for so long.

Also went ahead and threw a new set of rear shocks I've had laying around on the crew, needs front shocks and sway bar endlinks bad.

E Locker out of my rear 44 had some wear on the locking ring; case and side gear looked perfect. Eaton doesn't sell parts kits anymore which kind of sucks, but they shipped me out a new ring from their ENGR facility and back together it goes!

Gave the CJ7 some love yesterday. The shifter was all over the place and if not careful it would get stuck in 2nd gear when the shifter popped out. $65 1st/2nd shift fork and a $32 new shifter with spring, lock ring and boot.

Removed tunnel cover and shifter

Getting the top of the trans off was a fight, but finally gave in. Gear fluid was ugly!

Also while I was at it drained trans and installed new fluid as well as oil and filter changed. Ready for some road miles now.

What trans is that
 
Installed the 1/2 doors and uppers on the JKU for the OBX trip.

The Ram got its gooseneck hitch, and a good bath. I had to power wash the tires, they had that brown icky look and purple power and a stiff brush wouldn’t do it.

Dollar general, "totally awesome"
Should be on the bottom shelf. Buy a gallon. Don't cut it. Won't harm wheels and cleans tires better than purple power.
Errbody knows that's seent my tars, know I look for the best solution for shiney tires :huggy:
