World Population

The last 20 posts have been discussing ILLEGAL immigration and the well documented detriments.
Of course letting in a few that we NEED in underserved areas is a good thing. Duh.

Everyone is talking about the bum rushing of illegals...and someone pops in and just uses the word i'mmigrant' to change the subject away from the mass of leeches heading this way.

You sound like Biden and JeanPierre.

It's obvious you have not been negatively affected by illegal immigration... something we have hundreds of laws in place for that are actively being ignored for some reason, so I cant help you.
You'll feel the pain one day. We all will.

My point is .. why let in so many? Legal or illegal? What do we need? At what cost?

think about this. >17% of the world's population lives in 1 country that is a little less than 5x the state of Texas.
And of those half of them - or ~9% of all of the world - are under the age of 25.

I mean that’s going to be one hell of a Patel-ity case

I love how the population numbers give mathematical proof the population came just two people 6000+ years ago.
All depends on your definition of "person" :D

So here's my take: Wherever they come from, the United States needs more tax paying, lawfully contributing members of society and less people on the ranks of entitlement programs. I'm not willing to say that they need to do away with entitlement programs altogether, but we need less people on them draining the resources we have left for them. That means ANY person on them - white, black, brown, yellow, green, WHATEVER color of their skin, nation of origin, etc. No matter what color you are, or where you were born, we do not need generations growing up and growing old on these systems in perpetuity. Again, Johnny White Kid or Johnny Black Kid, or Juan Mexican Kid or Rajish Indian Kid - it makes no difference to me, the .GOV is not there to supply your needs from cradle to grave.

Ok so I don't think there anyone that disagrees ...
But what is your solution to get there?

Oh someone does. Don’t forget we have starve rather than mingle with the unwashed immigrants amongst us

For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: "If a man will not work, he shall not eat." We hear that some among you are idle. They are not busy; they are busybodies. Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the bread they eat.

This.
I'm pretty sure that's not what @Ron was referring to

Its a repressive culture, and that feeds into it more than money. For example, I bet if they stopped blurring out the good part, it would help alot.
In fact it sounds like thats the part they need to be enhancing.

I may have been wrong but it seems pretty applicable across the board. I have absolutely no problem with any form of mankind willing to earn his or her keep. I would trade some of my own family for filthy foreigners willing to bring forth effort to support their own existence.

But the government DOES supply needs from cradle to grave. And each year the government supported existence gets 'better'.

So yes the solution is to stop most entitlement programs and safety nets, close the border, and get the current crop of Americans to work. We do not need to add to the number of people in the country. That fact of more people alone guarantees that the next generation will inherit a worse place to live. It's already easy to see how the influx of people has permanently changed the USA. Just simple stuff, like parking 7 deep at a 2 bedroom apartment, killing certain areas property values. This is a fact. There are way too many on the earth. It's a constant battle to feed them, generate electricity, find oil, clear-cutting for a parking lot, diverting rivers, building dams, moving, go go go.....to what end?

You clearly do not understand how our economic system works.
Have you taken the time to read anything posted above and consider what happens to the next generation when it is smaller than the prior?

The solution isn't less people. Its flatlining to maintain, with perhaps a very small annual increase to match improvements in technical effeiciency to deal with them.
And since our birth rate is way less than necessary to maintain flat, it means we have to steadily increase immiegration - which will eventually be fighting with other countries who are losing bodies and also want them.

Its not just 'money' that makes a place great to live.

More people means more strain on resources, less free space, less open area, just less everything. Costant wars over water and land and affordabilty and wildlife/human ineraction. That is in some ways worse.

Pray tell what DOES happen to the next generation? They all die at one time? No one plans, studies, makes ready? Its a slow and obvious trend that can be dealt with. The population won't halve or anything overnight.
With all the leeches we have, a few tweaks of gov't programs and entitlements and we probabbly won't even notice, budget wise. Economy wise.
We don't need to import anyone.
Especially more that just drag us down, kill wages, ruin neighborhoods, and don't want or care to make the USA a better place.
That just means more bodies, slums, gangs, crime, and DUI homicides. Not a great place to live.
Which do you want?

I bet Richard WIlliams, who died in Holly Springs yesterday, wouldn't mind a few less people in his neighborhood. If it meant staying alive,

I think you have a very small world view.
You state repeatedly things that are a “fact” that are partial truths.
You talk about population increase and the impact on parking ….yet neglect to recognIze you live in one of the fastest growing area in the country.
Other areas will talk about how they are having to tear down houses because no one is left to inhabit them.

Just like a climate change debate - the temperature outside your home has absolutely zero to do with the global trend.

@WARRIORWELDING and i have talked enough to know we are pretty closely aligned in our core beliefs. His post did miss the point I was making but it also actually reinforced it .

The point I was making was that we have done members who absolutely believe there should be no more foreigners allowed in. Regardless of impact on their lives.

I just hope those folks are 100% lineage of one of the 8 tribes - or they themselves are in fact illegal immigrants throwing stones at people for doing the same thing their lineage did.

Is the population of the USA increasing?
People can travel easily.
Regardless of where the 'live', they travel and congreagate at 'nice' areas and make them worse.
I also care about my area, where I live. I choose and want to live here and this is my reality. Sure, other places may suck, but I can only care about my place and try to make it the best it can be. More people just for the sake of 'bodies' is not the answer.
My property values have suffered (fact) and qualty of life has suffered becuase of the policies just to let in more bodies with no thought of anything else.
