We Bought a RV Clark!! Oh no! Rebuild thread

Now that we have the framework squared up ish..the big panel aka Ella's bedroom floor, is ready to be installed. This will help tie in the front and both side walls.
Everything has to be tight and right. With the installation of this panel, along with the 2 side panels, we are sealing it all up. With Butyl tape and rubber seals in the middle, this panel will be sandwiched between the van roof and a 2x4 frame that will be built on top. View attachment 280988 Every thing lines up as it should. I agree Dylan. I'd rather hear a 72 hr non-stop loop of Fran Drescher laughing than that lady talk/sing. They encompass everything about why I hate cunt tree music. (Charlie Daniels, Aaron Lewis the ONLY exceptions)

Is the glue drying or freezing at this point?

Don't get over ecstatic about bring that thing inside......my shop got no heat.

For the most part. And I believe its gonna be a tight fit. Your doing a really good job on this thing. I remounted some ambulance bodies on van chassis. Could have used your help.
Biggest thing I like is using similar methods of construction with definite improvements, better glues and materials. WITHOUT adding extra weight. Re-engineering without building a anvil. (we don't have a hot chocolate emoji)

I like some country, but not sugar land...especially that song!

Dude!!! This is awesome, great work! I wish I had half of these skills and know how. Now I know who to call when my camper starts leaking :D

This has been on my mind..
Glue might be freezing and drying. For the most part, I've kept a heater going while the glue cured..but not the entire time.

I'll bring a couple ready heaters to warm up the shop.

And I have added a few extra wooded braces, but no, definitely not much heavier than factory.

Suggestion:

We always built double deckers they would heat you out and in the deepest northern Michigan winters we could work in shorts and a t shirt. Way better wood efficiency too

And if it works.....I want one for MY shop :D

Northern Tool sells the kit, minus the barrels.

I have one with two barrels and got the kit from Northern years ago. My kerosene bullit heats much better but if you're going to be in there several hours itr's great. I'm even thinking of taking mine out to save space and clutter.

how much space, how much fuel consumption? built in thermostat?

Built in thermostat, 1500 sq ft, but I'll have to check it's size/output. Fuel consumption is not too bad but I only keep it at about 45-50 degrees. My old one took forever so I doubled the size and it's great.
Edit: This is my heater Master 140000 BTU Kerosene Forced Air Heater, MH-140T-KFA at Tractor Supply Co.

45-50 degrees is my kind of working weather....these folks who complain all summer about heat then try to maintain 85 in a shop blow my mind.

Last year I changed a transmission out in the dark with a lantern and a kerosene round burner....was just fine.

50 sounds great
Yep I work outside everyday and do my best to keep away from heat! Just knock the chill off and I'm good. I don't expect to be in short sleeves but with this heater I don't have to be bundled up.
