We Bought a RV Clark!! Oh no! Rebuild thread

Ok..so I finally came up with a plan to fix this hole that was left from old fridge vent.

Cant find the picture, but I cut and glued foamboard to fill the hole. Then i cut paneling to cover foamboard. Here it is.

With all of that glued together and in place, next I cut a piece of smooth filon siding( picked up cheap from campers inn)

Then i used stay-put glue to stick it over everything. Nwxt, i cut some pvc trim and covered my edges. Added caulk will keep water from ever seeping in

YES, I know its ugly, but its a patch. And Guess what else it is....

Gotta be dry erase..first one to use a sharpie gets to wash the entire rv with a toothbrush. And no dick and balls yall.
Fyi. Dry erase markers takes off sharpie on dry erase board.

Just color over sharpie with dry erase markers and Bam wipes right off

Your welcome :)

Well of course not! This is a FAMILY RV

Dry erase markers erase Sharpie... just an FYI for that first permanent dick and balls.

This is on the inside, a spot that was previously nearly impossible to access. These water lines/shut off valves go thru this wall. (1st pic)And end up on the outside. (2nd pic)

I thought I had replaced/fixed any faulty or questionable plumbing, but my 2nd water test proved that the valve with the blue circle was leaking. Probably froze and cracked during a previous life's winter.

I started thinking and wondering why I needed to replace this in a factory manner. And in fact..I didnt. I decided to do away with the outside accessibility in favor of easy installation of new valves with inside accessibility. Now that the rv has fold up access panels to this area, this will be a breeze. And technically, I am bringing "outside plumbing" inside. Should be less likely to freeze.

All valves are indoors now!

Well I loaded up my camper and drug it and my 2 kids over to Dylan’s place to be that trashy friend that comes and camps in your driveway. Seemed fitting. Fun was had. The kids roamed and had hours of fun while me and Dylan knocked out some key things on the RV! I can’t thank Dylan enough for his awesome hospitality, he fed me well our kids had an absolute blast together.

We managed to get the AC unit installed and wired up, all of the fans and vents installed and sealed. The roof is 100% done now. Put the trim all the way down the passenger side, including the special trim to attach the awning later.
Fixed the blower motor for cab AC, and tested to make sure his new generator would run the AC, which it did no problem.

Bending the trim around the front half was actually pretty easy and went surprisingly smooth.

And Dylan captured me and his buddy Keith having a moment while installing the AC. Dylan was no where to be found during this install might I add. Claims he was pooping...

All in all, it was a very productive day. We got other small things done too. He’s done a lot that he hasn’t posted here yet and the RV is actually very close to being done soon!
It’s every bit as awesome as you think is in the pics, he’s done an amazing job.

And last but not least, I was the first one to tag the RV.

So far, I have not paid much attention to the cab and front interior. It's all used up, and the front seats are wasted. I've been searching for new or used seats but havnt found anything. All of the Junkyard seats I've checked out were junk. New seats are well over 1000.oo plus several hundred for shipping. And they're not even the right color.
Here's what I have.

Time to rip the cab apart.
Seats coming out

Ripping out the old carpet. It was junk.

Old padding was a real mess.

Scrub it down babe!

Hard to see them, but someone had added screws through the carpet to hold it down.
I cant have all these little holes anymore. Front tire will sling water all into these holes.

Added some eterna bond tape. Should be good now.

Now that the cab has been scrubbed down, cleaned up and is looking good. I still have the ugly seat blues.

I called up my buddy at Twins upholstery to get a quote on recovering these beauties.

Negative! Ghost rider, the pattern is full!

They're in the middle of recovering over 200 church pews and couldnt fit me in for months.
However she did turn me on to another guy that only does automotive upholstery.
I loaded up the ugliest seats and headed that way. He had just finished a boat and said he could jump on my project right away. I skimmed through his stock materials and found some fabrics I really liked. So...a 3 day turnaround sounded perfect. I had gotten lucky timing wise! Gotta love that luck!

Bad lighting in this pic. But the seats turned out awesome! Black cloth in the middle, dark grey leather trim, and all new foam!

I dug out the sofa bed frame, shot it with wd40 in all the right spots.
Shot it with black paint in other spots.

Brought it into the rv and started reassembly. The newly recovered cushions have been inside my home for almost a year..I'm glad to get them back where they belong.
Brooke was more than happy to help. I lined up the bolts and holes, added the nut and handed her the ratchet.

Everybody is happy happy happy with the new sofa bed

Maycee created a new spotify playlist. She named the playlist 'RV Clark' Some of her music is pure crap, but I thought the play list name was cool!
