Watch out .....
You invite some of those NCSU guys over to check out your stuff and next thing you know they are hanging around all the time.
Just ask Grant....:Rockon::D
Pretty bling on that "color" coordinated stuff.
Have you figured out where your capuccino hookup is going in yet?

No A/C... just heat. I cut two holes, one on each end for round 2.5" vents. There will also be a third vent down low, to help keep the passenger warm.

I'm basically going to re-route the flow from the defroster to the dash vents.

These are the vents I've got:

The only challenge is going to be converting the oval shaped defrost tube into a round tube.

As for heater cables... I was looking online and saw that Collin's Bros Jeep had used ones for $29.00. I went to the dealer, and new ones were $14.00... go figure!

I'll work on it a bit this week and take some pictures.

Lots of work lately, but not a lot of updates... sorry.
The engine is wired and I've fired the motor. It sounded good!

Relay box: I'm using an ST-85 for the high speed, and a 40A relay for low speed. I also put a 14 circuit fuse block inside.

this thing is so sweet, i want one. i can't get over all the details it's got, i can;t wait to see it in action! keep up the good work

It has been a pretty good week so far. The column is rewired. The brake lights work, the the headlights and high beams work, and blinkers work. Not too bad considering we didn't use a pre-made wiring harness.
I started the evening in a great mood!!! I went by East Coast Gear Supply and picked up by 35 spline D60 stub shafts, some Parts Mike steering arms, and a Ruffstuff Dana 60 cover!
I had some help last night too... Metto, J. Herr, and S. Roberts. Thanks guys.
Ruffstuff cover.

Installed Longfield 300M U-Joints

We installed the lockright...bolted on the steering arms... and then realized we had serious issues with this axle.

I ended the evening in a $hit mood:
We needed to pull the knuckle back off to align the axle shaft splines with the locklight. When we pulled the knuckle back off, Metto noticed that the kingpin was very loose. At first, we thought it was just unthreaded, and needed to be tightened.
Upon closer inspection, we found that the inner-C's threads were completely gone...
When I bought this axle from 1BIGAZZBURBN, and I knew it axle needed a re-build (seals, gears, brakes, bearings) but when you pay $1000 for an axle, you expect that the structure of the axle is in good shape... I feel a bit screwed on this deal.

This really frustrated me, since new inner C-s, removal/install is expensive and a pain in the neck.

HOLY SHIT.. that is a lot of movement..

if you had not got your gears done yet.. I would offer my HP 60 to you as a swap and we could just build yours later when i get ready to put it in my XJ..

I will leave the offer on the table if you want to try it..

Man, that does suck! Wonder if there are any repair kits where you could get a cone with over sized threads and have it re-tapped? There hopefully some one has a fix for it.I am in the process of doing the exact same thing rebuilding my 60, which was in pretty poor shape, but not that bad.
On a side note, wherre did you get your u-bolts and plates?

First thing that popped into my mind...i would weld that bish in a heartbeat with a new kingpin in it.

Weld that puppy in there and forget about it.
