the hundred push ups training program

I've been doing the program for 6 weeks. I redid week 4 and I'm about to finish week 5. The holidays really made me lazy thus the reason for taking me 6 weeks to do 5 weeks worth. Anyway, it does make you stronger. When I started I could squeeze out 20 something maybe. Now I'm well over 40. I'm not sure if I'll ever hit 100 but the program has helped me double up from where I started.
 
I finished mine last night. Man where my arms and chest meet up, really sore. Was kinda rough last night, but they do fell better today. managed 15 on the last set. Got my 2 miles of jogging in and started the sit up program too :beer: That is going to be easier than the push up. 5 weeks and 1 day to go!

I dint see it either...oh well at least we are doing the workouts.

It's amazing..last night before I started, I was whining and saying that I doubt I could do them all, seeing how sore I was from Monday, but once I started doing them, it was just mind over matter..and I did fine.

I am not as sore today as I was before starting last night. Funny how that works.
 
Finished the push ups and sit ups week 1 column 3

The push ups are getting easier than the sit ups. I am all but straining my guts to get the last sit up in.


Pushups--11-15-9-9-(13)---maxed 20
situps--17-22-14-14(20)---maxed only 20..struggling.

But to my credit(in my mind) I am doing both programs in (1) 15min workout!
 
Completed my third week of pushups. I tried wk3, col. 3 2 weeks in a row, and wasnt able to do the min. This third week I dropped down to wk2, col3 and was successful I feel like I'm finally getting a little stronger, we'll see next week.
M 14-14-10-10-15
W 14-16-12-12-20(min17)
F 16-17-14-14-22(min20)

I guess I'll try the exhaustion test tommorrow. I did 25 for my initial, I should be able to do at least 25 this time. That will bounce me right back in wk3col.3 where I started.

so as it states I will rest a few days and start monday on the weekly plan and see how it goes..
 
I started on week 3. column 3 a week ago. I didn't like my progress dring the first week so I repeated it during this past week. I met all of the requirements so it's on to week 4, column 3 next week.

I guess I will find out monday if I can do the week 3 stuff.. or maybe if i can keep it up on wed and fri :)
 
Im in ! I did 30 before I stopped, felt like I was starting to cheat so I stopped..

I'm gonna start on week2 just to ease into things... That pocket print out thing is perfect ! That's why I stopped last time.. Lost track of where I was and how many etc..
 
Yesterday was my third day of the push-ups and I did 11, 15, 9, 9, 17. My right shoulder is still giving me trouble, so I might redo week 1, column 3 again next week.

I am also doing the sit-up challenge and today is my third day for that. My 9 yr old daughter is doing it with me and she is doing the same workout (week 1, column 2). She has done it as easy if not easier, so we are doing column 3 starting next week. I don't know whether to be happy for her or sad for me (that she can do the same amount as me right now). :lol:

That's what I thought too, so I decided to not even try :huggy:

I'm just doing mine vicariously by reading this thread, I'll let you know how much weight I lose!

:shaking:slacker...you should give it a shot. There is no shame in doing the girly style pushups....we cant see you anyway:lol:
 
well I did my 1st day.. started on week 3 and to my surprise I actually did what it said to do..my chest feels a little tight right now.. so we will see how tomorrow goes :)

the funny part was when I was on set-3 push up #11 and my 2 year old son thought it would be more fun to jump on my back instead of stand next to me and watch.. needless to say I hit the floor hard and had to ask him to get off so I could finish the set.. man an extra 30 lbs makes it a lot harder to do a push up :)
 
Finished my week 2 first day. They are getting tougher. Made 16 on the last set....barely! Starting the sit ups now :beer:

week 2 first day. It is getting harder, but I am meeting the challenges with no more to spare. Seeming like this is custom made, and when I am done...I have no more.

Push-ups 14 14 10 10 15 (maxed 17) thats 2 extra

Sit-ups 21 21 15 15 (maxed 23) thats one extra



65 push ups and 72 sit ups in under 18 mins.
 
I missed a few days and just finished up week 3 day 3 today. Did 46 in the last set so already improving. Remember to push yourselves on that last set. I got down in the floor to play with my 1 year old a few hours after the pushups and couldn't even do 1 to get up lol.
 
Well, this sucks. I finally got over my cold about 3 days ago, but my right shoulder has been hurting since I think the last round of pushups I did before I got sick. I was going to restart last night, but my shoulder hurt just sitting at my desk all day at work:(. It is my good shoulder too! I'm going to give it another week off and if it feels good by next Monday, I'll restart. Probably drop back and restart at wk2, col 3 again.
 
Ok since all the cool kids are doing it and I need to get back in shape for the ladies, I'm going to print this out and start tonight.
 
I am going to have to take some time off from the pushup challenge to let my shoulder recover. It has been hurting since day 1 and isn't getting any better (even after taking Ibuprofen and doing heat/ice treatments).

Still rocking the situps, though.
